Chargers to play Saints in London on Oct. 26

The Chargers will play the New Orleans Saints at Wembley Stadium in London on Oct. 26, sources confirmed today.
“We want to go,” Chargers president Dean Spanos said. “I'm cautiously optimistic.”

Sources said the Chargers have been speaking with the league for more than two months about the game. Spanos is a member of the league's International Committee.

This will be the second regular-season NFL game played outside North America. The New York Giants and Miami Dolphins played at Wembley Stadium this past October.

The game will be the Chargers' eighth next season, and they will have a bye the next week.

Are we losing a home game or are the Chargers?

We can cry about this all we want, but I'm pretty sure both owners/GM's had to agree to this. So we probably have noone to blame but ourselves.

Hey guys,
Here's your answer about the home game....

New Orleans Saints Home: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, San Diego Chargers

Away: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs

So we lose a chance to see the best team on the home schedule. I'm really excited about seeing Atlanta, Carolina, Oakland, and San Francisco at home, aren't you.

This stinks. Financially, the Saints organization will be taken care of. The league will see to that. The season ticket holders? Another matter. Two worthless preseason games at full price and only seven regular season games.

The league owes every Saints season ticket holder a bottle of single malt scotch and a hooker.

But not one of those nasty hookers. I want a high class escort.

THis sucks. I wish they would have made it an away game for us. Anyone know if the NFL is going to compensate the city?
