Of course, this is slightly skewed since this is an LSU heavy forum, consequently LSU won't get the appropiate amount of hate But just for the heck of it, let's see who the most despised SEC team is.

I voted for Auburn but it's awful close between them and Tennessee. I really despise both of them.

If you ran the poll on the bama site it would be kind of evenly split between LSU, Auburn and tennessee,

If you ran it one an Auburn site, Bama would run away with it.

If you ran it on a Florida site it would be Georgia probbaly closely followed by Tennessee.

If you ran it on a Tennessee site I think it would be Bama followed by Florida.

I am guessing Ole Miss fans would ay Miss State, Bama and LSU.

Miss state would be Ole Miss and bama.

That is interestinng because I wouldn;t think LSU would even be up there for Bama fans. But I guess everybody hates the team that in on top at the moment.

Normally I would agree Jim. Its not just LSU being at the top now, its this ongoing thing between LSU and Bama fans over saban going to Bama which has resulted in a lot of hot recruiting battles.

If you read the national boards like rivals and such there is sure a lot of sniping between bama and lsu fans lately.

If any Bama fan says they hate LSU worse than the Barn or Tenn. then they are not real Bama fans imo.

See, I'm already well aware of the fact that there's something very, very wrong with me... but I have to confess that I don't really "hate" any other team. Not the Gators, not the Falcons, not the 49ers, not the Nittany Tide, not the Green Wave, none of 'em.

And I'm not even talking about the semantics of "hate" either. I honestly don't wish any specific harm on any of them. And look, I was born and raised in SELA in the 70's and 80's. I was taught to "hate" Tulane and Alabama at the very least. Didn't stick. I rather like Tulane, actually. Root for them any time there's no direct negative effect on LSU.

Alabama? Meh. Aub urn? Meh. Ole Miss? Meh. Florida? Meh. I root against those teams simply because they're in direct competition with LSU. But that's the extent of it. Same with NFC South teams, and NFC teams in general. In that they're competing for the same prize as the Saints are, I wish them failure. But that's about it.

Any "special place in my heart" I hold for any other team these days is mainly based on the anti-LSU obnoxiousness of their SR.com-based fans. :hookem:
