You have to laugh at the Raiders organization. Just no class people. Does anybody here, think the Carr isn't going to be cut by the dead line? I can't think of a compelling reason Carr would green light a trade deal that compensates the Raiders. What is in it for him? After the way the Josh McDaniel's basically blaming him for the coach's failures, and called him a weak punk who can't take a hit in the press. Trying to completely ruin his trade value.

I guess, if the Raiders could find a team to give them picks, and pay Carr $40 million a year. Carr may sign, but I don't see that team.

Good.

He's no better than anyone we already have and his salary isn't what we need right now.

I'll pass and look for our QB answer elsewhere.

In 2 weeks his $33m dollar salary becomes fully guaranteed. Not sure they will be able to trade him that that kind of salary guaranteed for 23 and just over 40 in 24 and 25 those those years have no guarantee.

There is no way they do not cut him. Cutting him is a $5,625,000 dead cap hit in 2023 and a $29,250,000 cap savings.

2024 is a $3,750,000 dead cap hit and a $40,125,000 savings.

2025 is a $1,875,000 dead cap hit and a $41,300,000 savings.

This man's career with the Raiders is over.

And he will be a free agent and can sign with whoever he chooses and can negociate a new contract with then. His new team will not be beholden to his current contract. His market value is no where near 40M, I think it's in the 30M range, but some posters think it's less than that.

Better yes, way better IDK. After this weekend, I kinda want an elite guy. Although, I don't trust this staff to draft or develop a QB.

We all want an elite guy and that player is especially difficult to find. We currently don't have the capital to move up for anybody in this draft and even if we end up in that position, not sure there is a single player who checks the boxes to be identified as an elite prospect. How long are you willing to wait for a player who isn't easily acquired?

All three of those were in Gruden’s system, which Payton got his foundation from (and Carmichael got his foundation from Payton).

Good catch. Wonder if Carmichael can also acquire the ability to put fear into the hearts of players turning the ball over the way Gruden and Payton can? Allen too, for that matter.

Doubtful.
