Talk about your sore losers. Coach Bellicheck didnt even stick around to watch the end of the game. Yes, I know he went to mid-field to congratulate coach Coughlin but he didnt even stay out with his team to finish out the game. IS this because he got beat fair and square or because he was embarassed that his cheating ways didnt get him a 4th Super Bowl ring. I think he should be fined for his actions or possibly suspended for a few games next year. Congratulation to Couch Coughlin and especially Eli Manning. Eli finally got that monkey of his back and now everyone can finallly stop comparing him to his older brother.

MOD EDIT. Belicheck set a record being the first team to go 18-0. No he didn't get 19 wins but he still did something amazing that had never been seen.

He thought the game was over. To play devils advocate. Aren't the Giants sore winners for celebrating in the middle of the field before the game was even over?

Other teams have gone 18-1. Difference is, they won the Super Bowl

I just don't agree......Bill thought the gameclock read zero when he went to midfield....he had already completed his responsibilty as a good sport and showed the respect he had for Coughlan with probably the warmest mid field goodbye all season.

meh.....i'd probably be pretty ticked also

It's sad. Most people on this board hate other people's success. One thing I have noticed is, and I won't mention names, that it is the posters that contribute less to this board than the average that trash talk Bill and Patriots. There are the exceptions, though.

He shouldn't have marched across the damn field with 1 second left. Tony Dungy would have gotten the benefit of the doubt but honestly I have to wonder if Belicheck didn't upstage Eli's "victory lap" because he just didn't "feel like" playing out the final 1 second (should have been 3, clock operator stunk). It smacked of him ending the game de facto.

Again, maybe he didn't realize there was 1 second left, Tony Dungy earns the benefit of the doubt in an instance like that, but considering Belicheck's personnality and history, yeah, I wonder.

Fixed.

I disagree. He knew there was still one play left because the officials told him directly they had to run one more play. Instead of returning to his sideline like others had done he ran to the lockeroom leaving his team on the field to finish the game. It was classless!

This is a disrespect for the game ... the biggest and most cherished game of the NFL. The game is not over till the clock reads 00:00 and he knows that.

I don't see anyone hating on the Giants, and they just won the Super Bowl.:dunno:

I think everyone on this board has a right to like and dislike whatever teams and/or coaches that they like.

The fact of the matter is that they clicked off the remaining time on the clock and Bill started to leave. He was informed that they put 1 second back on the clock and he decided to leave anyway. Bill lost respect from me when he decided to leave anyway, but to say he knew the game wasn't technically over and left anyway is foolish. It's a case of people wanting more ammunition to shoot at their favorite target.

Dude... you must be a Pats fan. All your pro-bill posts make me want to vomit.

No, I just don't take a jealous view where we tear someone to bits because we (Saints) can't make the SB. I just appreciate football.

Seriously, grow up and realize that you have no idea what went on at the sidelines. All you know is he walked away with 1 second left. I would've walked away if I was Bill, as would you.
