Class Acts right here.

The offensive line would probably follow suit if they weren't a shoe in every year.

Browns quarterback Derek Anderson will replace New England's Tom Brady and Cleveland tight end Kellen Winslow will sub for San Diego's Antonio Gates on the AFC's roster for the Pro Bowl in Honolulu.

Brady's top target this season, wide receiver Randy Moss, has also decided to skip the Feb. 10 game. Cincinnati's Chad Johnson will replace Moss, who caught five passes for 62 yards and a touchdown in New England's 17-14 loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII on Sunday night.

Brady, who was sacked five times by the Giants and pounded throughout the Super Bowl, has been bothered by a tender ankle. In a release, the Browns did not provide a reason for Anderson replacing the Patriots star.

With Anderson and Winslow making the trip, the Browns will have six players in the Pro Bowl, the club's most since sending six in 1994.

{mod edit - please just tease the article per the TOS - kd}

Why would anyone want to play in the game other than a bonus check?

WOW those classes pieces of ***** that is ridculous the pro bowl is a top honor tom brady is fine and moss if fine. The pro bowl is great but this is classless i have no respect for the patriots as a team SORE LOSERS NEVER LEARN AND CHEATERS NEVER WIN

They were ready to play prior to their butt kicking.

Their sore losers, Period

If Brady and Moss are still hurting, then why risk it for about 20 minutes of playing in what is nothing more than a recreational game?

Cruize hit the nail on the head...and even then they don't play because all they have to do is be selected, not a participant.

I'll use the same statement I made in one of the other 3-4 Moss threads:

This really isn't a new thing. To single Moss out for skipping the Pro Bowl (even with no reason) would be dumb. In general though, yes, you're right. But the problems with the Pro Bowl are much deeper than people skipping the game. Explore the root of the problem and then maybe things can be fixed.

The problem is much deeper than Randy Moss skipping the game. Where is all the outrage that Brett Favre is skipping the game with an "ankle injury." Players do this all the time.

It's the freakin' pro-bowl people. There where people on this board praying that Brees wouldn't make it after what happened in last years game. Do you really think Tom Brady (or any other player) should get out there in a meaningless game with a gimpy ankle?

Be careful Waymer (the self-appointed players representative) will be on here any moment to dispute this.

The difference is that Moss is not injured (other than his ego.)

Yeh what excuse do you have for Moss?

He hurt his finger?

He has a bad back?

It's no big deal. It happens all of the time. Brady has skipped it before (to play in a golf tournament) so it's not like he's doing it this time out of spite.

The fact of the matter is that Brady still has a sore ankle and has to fly back to Boston with the team so why would he want to turn around and immediately have to take a big flight out to Hawaii and back just to play a quarter of an exhibition game?

If they would have won the Super Bowl, a lot of them probably still would have skipped.

How about he's a free agent and doesn't want to risk about 30 million dollars in a meaningless exhibition game?

brady wasn't 100% in the SB (although close enough that his injury didn't affect the game)... i can't blame him for skipping rather than risking further injury... and the poster above is right, i remember a lot of people praying brees, if invited, bowed out... it's an honor to be selected, but this happens every year
