Your draft wish list (3 rounds)... (1 Viewer)

My "realistic" wishlist would go like this...

1. Sedrick Ellis or Glenn Dorsey

2. Curtis Lofton or Dan Conner (if he were to slip)

3. Xavier Adibi

1st round: Ellis, McKelvin, trade down Philips or Rivers
2nd round: Lofton, Mayo, Dejaun Morgan
3rd round: Rucker, Wheeler, DeMario Pressley

I am afraid Lofton is going to be this year's version of the guy that everybody wants in the second round, therefore he goes in the first round.

1st - Dorsey, Ellis, Phillips, Rivers, Connor, or top rated corner.

2nd - Antoine Cason, Aqib Talib, Quentin Groves, Tracy Porter, Terrell Thomas, Curtis Lofton, Ali Highsmith, or Jerod Mayo

3rd - Brandon Flowers, DeJuan Tribble, Xavier Adibi, Charles Godfrey, Chevis Jackson, or Craig Steltz

1st - Sedrick Ellis DT USC

2nd - Philip Wheeler LB Georgia Tech, Reggie Smith CB/S Oklahoma

3rd - Brandon Flowers CB Virginia Tech

Round 1: DRC, Curtis Lofton, Vernon Ghoulston.

I'll say it again for the millionth time, but DRC is the best corner in the draft. If we were to go that way he is the only CB I would be happy with. Everyone following the draft closely wants him to fall to their team. We make a statement and take him early. If we pass, and he somehow falls to the second round, we should be on the phone to the Dolphins immediately.

Hopefully he's not away, but if he is, I think it's stupid to say Curtis Lofton is the best MLB avaliable and he would be a great fit for us, I just hope he falls to the second. He will go late first. After a good combine he will be a mid first rounder. If we want him take him at ten.

Ghoulston, just take him. You saw what the Giants did the other night. Well that's what we need to aim for. 3 great players we can just sub in and out. Not, we are set at defensive end, we have Charles and Will. As that Giants GM said, you can never have enough pass rush. Put this in your mind. You are the opposing QB. It's 3rd and 10 and you are inside your own 5. You look up, and the New Orleans Saints defensive line is DE Will Smith DT Charles Grant DT Hollis Thomas DE Vernon Ghoulston.
What is going on in your head? Exactly:9:

Round 2: Xavier Abidi, Brandon Flowers, Trevor Laws.
You cannot go wrong with either Abidi or Flowers. Both are studs who would start from day one. Both are huge upgrades on what we've got. Also, both are getting a lot of flak from the media, and are being predicted as 3 rounders. :dunno:. Have those guys watched them play? (apart from the LSU game)

Laws is a top player, and a very versatile one too. He would be great as an understudy to Hollis, but also played DE his senior year. That gives you the versatility. If we make any effort at all to get that defensive line rotation and pass rush going, Laws should be a high priority.

Round 3: Early Doucet, Matt Forte, Oniel Cousins.
Sean Payton is going 3 rounds without looking at one offensive player.
How stupid does that sentence sound?
I say we go 1, 2 defense, 3 offense, 4, 5 defense, 6, 7 offense (projects).
Doucet I think will fall to us in the 3rd. He is that kind of risk that many teams like to avoid, he was behind 2 first round picks until his senior year, and even then had an injury hit season, in which he interchanged with other recievers, never really in a set position. A lot of teams don't want an athletic, versatile reciever, who will never be a clear cut number 1, but we do. With only 2 WRs tied down into next year, we really need to get some. Doucet I think fits us perfectly. He can slide under the middle on little drags and outs, which Drew Brees loves to hit. Henderson last year and Moore earlier this year are prime examples of what those recievers do. I'm sure coach Payton would love to write him into plays too.
Matt Forte will likely not fall this far, but I'd like him. Worst case scenario is he is your backup for 3 years and then gone. Best case is that he emerges as your long term Deuce replacement if injuries hamper 26's comeback. I think we'd take the risk.
Oniel Cousins can play anywhere on the offensive line. He is a dominant blocker and could replace Stinchcomb or Nesbitt no problem at all. He could also backup the rest of our line.

Ideal draft, but realistic:
1 Ghoulston
2 DRC/Lofton
3 Doucet
4 Frank Okam
5 DaJuan Morgan
6 Kendall Langford/Frank Morton
7 Brian Stillman (Kick returner and sprint champ from small college who runs a 4.2)

1st Round:

-DT Glenn Dorsey/DT Sedrick Ellis-there is a chance either Ellis or Dorsey falls in the draft.
-CB Leodis McKelvin
-CB Mike Jenkins/CB Aqib Talib

2nd Round:

(In my opinion DRC will be gone)
-DT Pat Sims
-LB Ali Highsmith
-LB Curtis Lofton

3rd round:

-CB Patrick Lee
-TE Martellus Bennett
-RB Kevin Smith

1st Round
Ellis or Dorsey

2nd Round
1a Lofton
1b Mayo
1c Sims
1d Highsmith

3rd Round
Pick Traded to Pats to ensure Ellis or Dorsey whoever falls

1st- Dorsey
Ellis
Gholston
Kentwan Balmer
Mike Jenkins or Mckelvin or DRC
2nd- Lofton
Conner
Highsmith
Henderson
Wheeler
Mayo
3rd- Trevor Laws
Dre Moore
Patrick lee
Tracey Porter

So basically i would like them to get a DT or DE and then a LB and then another DT(especially if de in first) and then get corner like trae williams or someone else available in the 4th
