Are you asking why republicans like him? Or why any voter likes him? Also, polls do not show which candidate is the "worst," the simply show which candidate people support (for whatever reason)...which given the polls kinda disprove that most people like him.

worse than whom?

And what do polls have to do with how good a candidate is?

As of right now I don't like any of the leading candidates one bit.

i said according to the polls... he is the worst. not saying anything about how bad he is. curious why i see LA likes him and most of the country doesnt.

The people that like him do so because he is a Libertarian. He happens to be running on an (R) ticket. So, he's really a RINO.

I don't think he's liked any more in LA than in other states. Forums and an uncontested convoluted caucus aren't accurate measures of general support.

So how can you start a thread questioning why people like him...when the polls already prove that people do not like him.

According to what ive looked at hes front runner in LA.

The polls reflect who the media wants people to vote for. They have esentially become the 4th estate of government. Ron Paul's name has not even been mentioned over the past week by anyone in the main stream media. Mitt Romney even had people calling around telling voters that there were only 2 people left running in the race.

Ron Paul is generally a popular candidate among college students like myself because we realize that we are spending our country into a debt. A debt that we are someday going to have to pay back. Educated young people like myself understand what he means when he says that the Federal Reserve should be eliminated. We know that we are never going to receive a dime from Social Security. We also see right through many of politicians when they lie to us. He has been in Congress for 30 years on two separate stints, and has consistently stuck to his principles. He never has voted to raise taxes, never voted for an unbalanced budget, and always returns a portion of his office budget back to the general fund so it can be wasted on something else, $70,000 this year. He always votes against pay raises. This is why people rally around him, because of his integrity.

What he essentially wants to do as President is return America back to how the Founding Fathers intended it to be, back to that little Constitution, and it scares the media who have their hands in Washington's back pocket right now. People think he is crazy when he suggests these things, but these things worked for over 100 years before we started tinkering with them. They haven't really worked since.

I get a kick out of how nobody can have genuine issue with Paul. If you don't like Paul something must be wrong with YOU because The Messiah is without fault.

The media isn't talking about Gravel either. They talk even less about him than Paul and don't even let him come to debates. They must be REALLY scared of him. Like Freddy Kruger scared!

This isn't a political movement, it's a cult. Hopefully Paul doesn't take everyone to an island and give them koolaide. :hihi:

As long as Hitlery, McInsane, Mitt or Suckabee aren't elected president we should be ok. Those are the real nut jobs. Mcain-100 years in Iraq and a draft and people are still voting for that moron. I can't believe it.
