Javon Walker (1 Viewer)

Article states that he will be cut or traded within the next month. If he is cut I wouldn't mind the Saints taking a look at him.

I'll take him. He would fit in nicely here. I'm sure his experience in Denver is something he wants to put behind him.

BTW: Know which 2006 rookie WR Mike Detillier said reminds him of a young Javon Walker?

Robert Meachem.

Did Walker have a redshirt rookie season too?

Which leads me to ask too, what other players sat out their first year and were succesful in the league? (QB's aside, for obvious reason)

Is he that tall Colston look-a-like from Denver? If so.....HE WOULD BE A MASSIVE BARGAIN!! Not a bad idea to snatch him up. This is a team that likes to dink and dunk. He'd be perfect.

Walker would fit very nicely here. I believe we may be a little over confident in our WR corp. Colston certainly is an All Pro, but dept wise beyond Patten I don't like what I see. I've got high hopes for Meachem, and I'd like to see Copper back to 2006 form, however those aren't guarantees. Javon Walker is a guarantee, and we would have an arguement for the best WR tandem in the league.

You may be thinking of Brandon Marshall. Walker is more like Chad Johnson sized... I think ??

Normally I would think that a player that is trying to cut ties for a second time with his team may not be in the best interest for the saints to pursue.

However, the case of Javon Walker is very different, I think Green Bay situation was a difficult one, negotiating a contract after a bad injury, and in Denver, what he has lived you don't wish even to your worst enemy. This is more than just a star player seeing his role reduced in favour of a younger player.

I think it would be very important for Javon to leave Denver, and New Orleans can be a great place for him. I think he may try to sign to a team that is closer to his home (Galveston, Texas).

No, Chad is 6-1 and Walker is 6-3, 215.

Meachem is 6-2,214. He is faster, but Walker is stronger.

Give me Chad Johnson or give me death.

Walker had arthroscopic knee surgery earlier in the season. With cheaper guys like Ernest Wilford and Bryant Johnson on the market, I'm not sure I'd pursue Walker strongly unless he's released and willing to take on a decreased salary.

He's not from Texas but from Lafayette . He was a two sport star at St. Thomas Moore HS and my Secretary's daughter's best friend. He is an outstanding young man and a total team player. His recent troubles were not of the "ME" variety. He'd be great in Black and Gold.

I'll take Walker... yes, he wants to be a "# 1" receiver, but coming to a pass-happy offense in New Orleans w/a Pro Bowl QB, and as many multiple offensive weapons as the Saints have would be incentive enough to know that he would be a #1-A receiver.

The key will be how much Denver is shopping Walker for. If they are looking for a high draft pick, I'd pass... but for a #4, I'd be all over that.
