No doubt but Briggs is going to hit FA, he didn't wait this long to take an offer from the Bears. Briggs could have got hurt last year, and now he is on the cusp of seeing his value as an UFA , I doubt seriously he takes any offer from the Bears.

The Bears have holes.. as good as their defense is they only have Berrian at WR... they don't have a running game... and they are also missing a QB.

As talented as these FAs are that they want to hold onto... this will require a huge chunk of $$... I'm happy that they are retaining their talent, and at thtat high $$ I'm glad they won't be able to do alot in free agency to plug all of their holes.

And for the record... we did the same thing last year... you know... "resign your own talent"... rather than getting better... and look where it got us.

Tommie is a STUD! I would give up our 1st for him.... dreaming... anyway, is he a free agent or are they just renegotiating his contract? Briggs will look at the offer and laugh all the way to FA and then the Bank... no way he resigns now with the Bears BEFORE FA.
