according to Skip and that other guy, they believe that Z Thomas will sign with the Pats...they have no inside info, but just their gut feelings (Saints were mentioned as being interested).....they also reported that there are already 11 teams trying to get Crumpler....so it looks like its goin to be a bidding war for Alge.........just passing on the info....

i dont think hell go to the pats, hes prettymuch gaurenteed to be a leader, mentor, and starter on our defense. and pats want to sign him to a 1 year deal, he wants to STAY where ever he goes.

and alge is horrible, so bid away

I think he will go to the Pats also, but I wouldnt be surprised if the Saints got him either, I mean come on, they are New England, there always in contention for the SB its not exactly a bad career move even if its not the right fit for him, he wants to win a Super Bowl.

Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard you say.

In 05 and 06 he had 780 yards and 885 yards recieving, with MV as his QB. In 07, despite never having a set QB, he still put up almost 500 yards before getting hurt halfway through the year.

He is a legitimate top 5 TE talent.

Couldn't agree more. This guy would be a huge weapon in our offense.

maybe im blinded by my falcon hate, but i just dont like the guy or think hell work out here
JMO though..

Or blinded by our horrible history with getting really good 'pro-bowl' calibre TEs and then seeing nothing some some reason or other. This place is a graveyard for good TEs going back a couple of decades.

Those teams didn't have Lt. Brees at the helm, nor did it have Cpt. Payton. :D

There is no need for that stupid sarcastic reply. He was just passing along what he heard for those who can't watch TV all day long.
Relax. I appreciate the information, but Skip's opinion is, as the OP stated, pretty much baseless (he's just going with the popular opinion right now) as usual and really doesn't hold any weight with me. Hey, maybe he gets it right this time, but it won't change my opinion of the guy.

Actually, they're 0-1 with EJ. I know it doesn't sound bad but to a team that's seen the past regimes go 0-9....0-1 can do a lot to a person's head.

Alge Crumpler is one of the few "complete" TE's in the NFL. It's rare to see his receiving talents and blocking ability in one package. It's an added bonus that he would get to stick it to the Falcons twice a year if he signed with the Saints.

His signing by far would be the best offseason move by the Saints since the signing of Drew Brees...

Not that I don't believe what was said, but Skip Bayless' opinion hold about as much water as a paper bag full of holes. Bayless is a steaming pile of cow dung, figuratively speaking.
