Hornets close to making a trade (1 Viewer)

Vin and Haluska....basically, who?

But I like BJax a lot. I honestly don't know too much about Wells and James, but I almost wish we could ship out Mo before Jax.

It's risky. I would really really hate for Bonzi to come in and mess up the chemistry like he has in the past. If he's all smiles then this would work out great for us. That's an if though.

I'm thinking it really won't Bjax had a great game tonight but usually he doesn't play that much, I think at this stage in his career Pargo is a little better at coming off the bench and running the team. I would think that the hornets got the better end of this deal, getting some depth at the point, and the shooting guard/small foward spot. Bjax locker room presence will be missed especially when playoff time rolls around but I think in the end this will work out better for the hornets than the rockets, and it makes the game against the rockets friday at the arena that much more intresting

Mike James has not played all year. He has 2 years of 6+ million on his contract that the Hornets will eat. They also will absorb some of Bjax's contract. Bonzi could be an asset, but he is streaky at best. I hope he was okay with the trade, because he has gone in "shutdown" mode before. When he choses to, he can score...
I really don't understand this trade, but it could work for both teams.

Jackson was good tonight when CP got him wide open looks at the basket, particularly in the 2nd half. But let's not forget that he was a turnover machine in the 1st half when it was he and Pargo on the floor with CP getting some rest. He's been decent as a spot up shooter, but the games where he's taking people off the dribble and knocking down jumpers all over the place are few and very far between these days.

I think if Wells comes in with his head on straight, I like what our backcourt looks like when CP is getting a breather. Pargo running point with Wells at the off-guard gives us some more size and works in our favor when we slow it down a little. He should create a lot of matchup problems as well.

There's a lot of upside to be had IMO, but also the opportunity for him to piss some people off. Hopefully the way the team is right now is contagious enough to have him just want to work hard and be a part of it.

I think it's a good move for the Hornets. You get more depth at the 2 spot, and Bonzi can play the 3 spot as well. Mike James is getting up there in age, but I think he can still provide valuable minutes at the point.

I think the Hornets need someone like Wells who can attempt to guard a guy like Kobe or Roy from the Blazers and still contribute some offense.

I like Bonzi as well, when he decides he wants to play. Just risky is all I'm saying. Mike James couldn't get on the court with the likes of Rafer Alston and a rookie. He probably won't see the court in NOLA.
