'The availability of wide receiver Roy Williams is also in hot debate with Jacksonville, Tennessee, Tampa Bay and New Orleans all interested. The Lions are looking for a second round pick and have told several clubs they would even consider a pick in next years' draft to get a deal done.'

Who aren't we interested in really?

Crump
Zach
Vilma
Hall
Morgan

Basically this website says we're interested in everyone.

Thats not bad, but I need a source.

Eh, whatever I'm not buying into this. Apparently we're interested in everyone, but will end up signing Joe-Mo Jenkins from the Dolphins practice squad to be our starting CB. I hear he's nice and affordable.

And some other news....

'The New York Jets' front office has denied any possible trades with Jacksonville for Laveranues Coles, but they clearly are shopping young linebacker Jonathan Vilma in Indianapolis. Interest in Vilma has been low, however, due to his troubled knee.'

'Athletic Penn State linebacker Dan Connor has so far been the hit of interviews. Several teams have said it was the best interview they have seen a linebacker have in the last few years. His film diagnosis and knowledge of the game are precisely why he is a tackling machine. Many have added him to their lists' of must interviews after hearing stellar reports from his first three interviews. The N.E. Patriots and Tampa Bay added him to their lists after the rumors ran in the convention center.'

'The other elite cornerback being shopped here is DeAngelo Hall and it appears there are now about 10 suitors for him. Talks between Atlanta and Detroit have heated up in a Rogers for Hall swap.'

D-Hall? Someone get on the phone and tell those 10 teams he's overrated. I don't think they got the memo.

A bona fide stud wide out. As much as I want defense, I don't think I would complain if we picked him up.

Not if you can get him for a second. Wonder what he wants contract-wise though. We'd be in the position of giving both him and Colston new deals either this year or next.

Colston and Roy would be nasty.

Very similar players though

Roy Williams, Colston, and Meachum would just be ridiculous, assuming Meach's game is as good as his measurables.

Not really. Roy may be big but he ran a 4.35. Just for comparison Devery ran a 4.43

I'd like to know more about these guy's sources. They are getting a ton of info fed to them; Its so much that it almost makes it seem made up.

Roy's got better deep speed and therefore big-play potential. Actually the receiver most similar to Roy Williams on our roster is Robert Meachem. Roy Williams is who we hoped(still hope) Meachem would become.
