FA Sign Asante Samuels, trade a 4th for Vilma, sign Crumpler, sign Berrian
Trade up to 7th at the best if Dorsey slips if not trade back a few picks and take Cromarte

Why trade down for Cromarte? Why not just take him at 10? You have to have a willing trade partner to trade down, and why would a team be looking to trade up to the 10th spot?

Answer to my question...probably to take Cromarte.

remember the Matt Jones factor. I agree Cromarte shot up the draft board I just don't think anybody will take him until maybe 17. Matt Jones was a workout freak and went in the end o f the 3rd round. I know he was converting to a new position but Cromarte went to a small school and this WILL hurt his stock. If somebody took him in the top 15 and he didn't pan out fans don't forgive the GM. GM's are under such a fine microscope. Remember as fans it is easy to turn around your opinion of a player but a GM lives and dies by his decisions. I would trade down to 15 and pick up a 3rd and maybe 6th.

I like trading for Vilma, but why not also tender a contract to Dan Morgan or Ian Gold to provide depth/competition at the MLB spot?

Dude...Matt Jones was a FIRST round pick.

And just because Cromarte went to a smaller school doesn't mean a thing. Maybe he just didn't have the grades to get into the "bigger schools". Leodis Mckelvin was offered by Georgia and Georgia Tech...but he didn't have the grades, and he still is considered one of the best corners coming out this year.

What school you attend does not mean a thing. You can either play football or not, and if the measurables are equal, then whats the difference?

The reason DRC went to a small school was that he went to 4 different high schools in 4 years....so Tenn Tech was the only college that recruited him.
