:9: that's a good post...thanx
i think we should take a look at Chillars from the lambs as a possibility....jmho

Very nice article...

But the Samuel part...wouldn't league sources (coming from the biggest town paper, who covers the team) NOT want to confirm it or talk about it? BEFORE free-agency? Saints would be exposed totally.

Even if the Saints don't have a "done deal" or aren't front-runners. They are interested in Samuel and are a suitor for him, per his agent....no way around it.

Also, If the Saints don't acquire Vilma or they just pass on him, I really hope they go after Kawika Mitchell. He has played inside before and has been decent there...he won't break the bank.

I just hope we make some tremendous upgrades to our God awful defense finally and stop playin around, im tired of keep saying "i believe" when the team staff don't believe in doing whats best to get a Lombardi ball to the N.O.

Our Defense is a total MESS, our Offense only need a couple of holes patched, Bree's can turn anybody into a Pro bowler if they trust in him.

Yet we had only one skill player close to being a Pro Bowler in Colston. Look both sides of the ball need to be improved. Of course the defense takes priority, but I just don't see how people think the offense is championship caliber as is. They need to upgrade at every position on offense except for FB and QB. WR is a big concern. There were too many dropped passes.

It was probably a good article by Triplett. Had I been able to fathom reading the entire thing without pulling my hair out I would know for sure... but geez louise! What a site won't do for page views. Two or three paragraphs per page over 12 pages? I know that it is all about advertising, but how excruiatingly irritating. It would be like me setting the boards to split at 3 posts per page with pay-per-view ads on them all.

Thanks for posting, but I've got to tell you, I am getting disgusted by the coverage and lack of insight that the Picayune writers give. Any one of 50 regular posters on this site could have done a better job with the article. Tell us something we don't already know!

"Five to watch" at each position is a joke. It doesn't match the text of the story. Don't cut and paste from a list of the top free agents. Tell me who realistically is available and one's we may go after. For example, don't tell me we may need a backup to Brees, then list Derek Anderson as one of "Five To Watch". Give me possible names that we may actually sign or those that have ties to coaches, or info from insiders that are in the know. Do the Picayune reporters talk to anyone on the inside of the team any more, or do they just search this site waiting for tips? Or worse, sit on CBS Sportsline and wait for updates.

Yeah, 12 pages is hilarious for a 1800 word article.
