As an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter, I am trained for the worst possible scenario. To keep from stressing out about situations that we cannot control, we often use humor as a deflection of the gravity of what we may eventually experience. I hope I never have to use my training in a real life situation.

We all have our fears, and playing to others was not my intention. In all reality, air travel is very safe, and instances like in the video/picture are few and far between, especially in the U.S.
