As a Saints fan in the UK thought I would stop by and say hi! What are your views on the Saints coming to the UK?Will we sign Gay?

VERY, VERY, VERY upset about the game in the UK.

As LDN native I am personally delighted about the Wembley game. But from a business point of view I also think it will be a good thing for the Saints and hopefully help ensure their future in New Orleans.

Regarding Gay, he's a nickel corner - who cares?? We've already got Craft & David for that!

I think going overseas is a good move for the Saints. It takes away a home game, but it also gets the Saints a ton of exposure. Furthermore, it lets our fellow overseas Saints fans have the opportunity of a lifetime.:9:

Can I ask why?

1. It takes major bucks away from the city of New Orleans. (Hotels, Restaurants, vendors, etc.) We need every dollar possible to help rebuild this city.

2. It takes away a home game from all of us season ticket holders., who cherish each and every game that is played in New Orleans.

3. The NFL is America's game and it should stay that way. (IMO)

The economy of the New Orleans area is still struggling to come back....taking away a Saints home game means the money that would usually be spent on gameday doesn't happen.

I blame the NFL for taking away a Saints home game. They could have just as easily scheduled this as an away game for the Saints, and that would have kept the Saints with 8 regular season home games.

Please don't confuse a lot of the fans anger....it's not against the UK or our fans over there.

I have nothing against the UK at all. I am just a little upset at the NFL, thats all.

The game could have been a Saints away game but there's still going to be one set of fans who feels as though the got short changed.

But looking at the positives for a moment... There is a massive fan base in the UK; the NYG vs. Miami game sold out (90,000 tix) in 30 minutes and they could have sold it 10 times over (there were reportedly 1million ticket requests). The Saints share of that market will increase with this game. That money will find it's way back to the team and the area (and will not come from the area). The increased brand awareness and global fan base will be yet tick in the 'Nay' column in the argument of whether or not to move the Saints to L.A.

Here's to London, the Saints second home.

I'm torn. I mean, obviously, those over here would rather the game be here. On the other hand, I know the Saints have a LOT of fans in the UK so actually I'm really happy for you guys to be able to attend a game you may otherwise never be able to attend! I love hearing from the UK fans on this board. It always surprises me, with American football being so, you know, American and I just can't see futbol taking off here like in Europe and South America.

I am all for getting as much money into the local economy as possible as I have family down in MS who were effected by Katrina but hope the exposure of bringing the Saints to the UK will increase their exposure here. I understand the Saints are one of the worst supported teams in the UK and believe this exposure will increase that fan base and eventually provide more finance for the area as people visit to support their team!
I realise that home fans are missing a game but at least you are having that cost removed from your season ticket which I doubt would happen with soccer here. Saying that, if I was a season ticket holder, I would be p+?+?d off too.
Just wish there was an easier and quicker way of getting information over here and merchandise and also hope I can get tickets for the game.

Here's to you getting tickets!!!!

You got to get the UK fans chanting the "Who Dat" song....that would be a trip to hear coming from London!
