Its a small world and I know as an Auburn fan people will forever remember the now infamous chop block game vs LSU and the effects it may still have on the man or if he has any at all. Yeah I do think about it a lot and I do wonder if the Auburn chop block ruined or severely hurt his chances at the draft. I do get conflicted when I see it because Dorsey could be a legitimate #1 pick if it were not for the Auburn game. some scouts are looking at him with suspicion and concern and add in to that maybe that he is too injured or too much of a risk.

I am an Auburn fan all the way but I never expected this injury to take on the life that it has and how it may effect the draft. If we choose Dorsey, we take a loaded bad I believe and I think me kind of feels responsible for the present problem if it did cause long term damage.

If you are a Saints scout or executive, do you take a chance on Dorsey and his unknown status. I would be very concerned about our defense but maybe somebody else would be better. Dorsey is too much of a risk IMHO. I know I feel awkward as it is saying that ans very much out of place and maybe a bit guilty but I have my concerns on the guy's durability

if dorseys at 10, i run to the podium, steal the microphone from goodell and say "SAINTS TAKE DORSEY LOL!"

It's all your fault you @#$%....  (sarcasm)

If he's there at 10 I take him without question, He was playing hurt after the Auburn game(an d so his production went down a bit) but when he was pretty much 100% and fully rested for the National Championship we all seen what happened.

the question about his injury prob now isnt' from this season, it's stress fracture in tibia from bumping weight working out. from 06... that supposedly isnt' healed right.

Yes. Thanks a lot, Chaz (either sarcastic for ruining LSU's chances of back to back #1 picks, or actual thanks for handing the Saints the best defensive player in the draft at pick 10).

Honestly, I think it may have helped in a way by providing an excuse for his unspectacular play the rest of the year. Despite all the hype, his play before the chop block was really not worth the buzz he was getting. He really got handled in the Florida game.

I think all the injury talk is just starting from certain teams that want him to fall to them.

What he should worry about the most is:

-Miami signing DT-Randy Starks and trying for Calvin Pace- looks like they want to get all DL issues out of the way before the draft. They're also going to run the 3-4, so he's not a fit anyway.

-Rams cutting starting DE James Hall- makes it more likely they take Chris Long as a replacement.

-Raiders paying Tommy Kelly BIG money- would Al Davis be willing to invest more in another DT? They could also use a DE or OT, while McFadden would be the sexy pick.

-Jets and Patriots run the 3-4

-Ravens invested in Ngata a few years ago and have bigger needs at OT (Ogden may be retiring) and QB.

-Bengals are supposedly switching to the 3-4, so he wouldn't fit here either.

This leaves the Falcons at #3 and Chiefs at #5. I can realistically seeing Atlanta taking Ryan and/or the Chiefs reaching for an OT like the Cardinals had to do last year.

If Dorsey has a solid Pro Day, I think the Falcons take him. If not, both DT's may fall to us unless someone trades up to get them.

And after i'd say "Laugh out loud" even after your LOL.

They were literally talking Heisman before the injury.

I was still hearing some Heisman talk after the injury. The guys a trooper. It amazes me that he could keep playing after what we all saw was done to his knee. And at pick number 10, I would still feel very satisfied to have him on our team with a whole offseason to rest his knee/legs. But the hype around this guy even before the injury was unwarranted.

I will say he was overrated to an extent he was playing off the success he had his junior year.
