As you know We need Tight ends i think our best options would be to sign Troupe and Draft JerMichael Finley. Another option would be to re-sign Miller and sign Troupe. I like the first though

I am not against drafting Finley but the guy is a bit raw and needs work. Hopefully the Saints will re-sign Miller and get Troupe.

Isn't Mark Campbell still on our roster? He was Drew's go to guy in 2006, down the stretch. I think that he s/b recovered by 2008 season.

Add Troupe and re-sign Miller and you have 3 real good options at TE.

How many TEs are currently under contract? The Saints need a total of 3. Miller, Troupe and someone from Day 2 of the draft would be good.

We have Ghent and Camble under contract

I'd like to resign Billy miller, sign Troupe to a deal, then draft a young TE in the later rounds, maybe round 5, and one cheap veteran/rookie free agent.

Go into TC with Miller, Troupe, Ghent, Campbell, Rookie, and UDFA, then let the compeition begin. We usually keep around 4 Tight ends.

I'm not opposed to trading for Shockey but not involving #10. A single second this year and that's it. No picks next year or "starting player". And I'd bet sometime around April 24-25 or early the 26th that will sound reasonable to the Giants too.

But if they land Troupe and re sign Billy Miller no on Shockey.....
