perhaps i haven't been paying enough attention. how's deuce? noticed he's been removed from the IR list, but what does that mean? he's back and doin' cartwheels?

i saw that today...maybe because its not during the season? i dunno.

anyway, last i heard is his $1,000,000 roster bonus is due on the 15 of this month. so he might have to restructure the contract before then right??

He had a interview a few days ago on the local TV channel here in South MS. He said that he is rehabbing really well but that the NFL is a business and he has a "plan" if the Saints release him.. He did not elude as to what the plan was....

Deuce is due the $1 mill on march 15.

And I believe we will ask him to restructure his contract. But regardless when or if he does, we will pay the 1 million. Done deal.

The team won't underestimate this man if he says he'll be back, and he has. (no proof, trust me again)

He has a plan? You bet. Millionaires with land and car dealerships in their home state, and have made other wise financial moves already have the future plan in gear. No fool here (Deuce).

Adam Shefter was on just on 'Total Access'...

He said the Saints have a "major' decision to make with Deuce. Didn't really say if we will pay the bonus or not.

I know it sounds stupid to give credit for using good sense, but this is another aspect of why he's the greatest. Most others would have sunk their fortunes early and when the day came of no more NFL, they're stuck. Deuce knows his position is one with a short lifespan and has prepared himself for when that time comes. Some players pass their 1st TD ball or some record ball to their children, not many pass off businesses and real estate to their kids to make sure them and future generations are taken care of. It's hard to think about the future when your in your early 20s and making millions, but Deuce had that maturity. Man, I hope he can comeback to be very productive for us.

According to Loomis, who appeared on Sirius radio this morning:

~ Deuce: Ahead of MM in rehab, he's running and feels strong. Will most likely be ready for mini-camp.

I agree with dog above.. I think we will give him his 1 mil (if only for past services) and restructure his contract.
