Round 1)

Miami - Chris Long OLB/DE
The smartest choice for their first pick, a solid player, it is almost certian that he will make an impact in the nfl.

Rams - Vernon Gholston DE/OLB
An athlete with huge arms, he had an amazing combine and would solve the Rams problems at DE, with the combine he had he probally won't last very long until he is drafted.

Falcons - Glenn Dorsey DT
He will probally be the pick for the Falcons, but it could be Jake Long or Matt Ryan

Oakland - Darren McFadden RB
McFadden and JaMarcus on the same team is scary.

Chiefs - Jake Long OT
Kansas City loves that Gholston's stock rose, because it makes Jake Long fall to them, he is BPA and fills their largest need.

Jets - Matt Ryan QB
with no Gholston available, they will try to trade down and probally will be successful, but I'm not doing trades so they will just have to take Matt Ryan unlesss they want to make a huge reach.

Patriots - Leodis McKelvin CB
The Patriots lost Asante Samuel and Randall Gay to FA, they need a cornerback.

Ravens - Sedrick Ellis DT
The Ravens defense can find a way to use Ellis, there is no way they pass him up.

Bengals - Derrick Harvey DE
The Bengals fill a need and greatly improve their defense.

Saints - Ryan Clady OT
the truth is that we do pick BPA and Clady is the BPA in this situation, I don't like the pick, but I will grow to like it when our line looks really good next season.

49ers - Quentin Gooves OLB/DE

Saints - Antoine Cason
It is quite possible that Cason is the best CB in this draft, but it is also possible that he falls out of the first round because he doesn't run a 4.35 40 yard dash.

Rest of Saint's Draft:
3)Dre Moore
To fill a need at DT we will have to take a risk with a guy who wasn't very productive in college, but he has all the physical tools to be great, I believe Coach Organ can teach him to be successful in the NFL.

5) Frank Okam NT
unless he can lose weight and show a ton of work ethic before the draft, he will fall out of day 1 and into the middle part of day 2. He wasn't very productive this year, and his work ethic has been rightfully questioned, but if he can improve in that area he will be a great player.

6)
Saints - Corey Lynch FS
This guy can play FS and is amazing on special teams, he can block field goals and play special teams coverage. If we drafted him I honestly think he would beat out Bullocks for the starting job at FS.

Yes Ali Had A Bad Forty But To Drop From A High Second To 5th. I Dont' Think He Will Drop That Far. He Want Get Out Of The Third Rd. Also Lsu Haven't Had There Pro Day. If He Runs A Sub 4.5 He Will Be Right Back In The Second Or Third At The Latest. With Your Mock I Can See Us Making Some Of Those Moves Not The Player But The Moves. I Don't Think We Would Go For Te In The Second. I Think We Will Look For A Dt.

Interesting...but I dout other than your first pick it will be anything like that. I doubt any of us can really get a grasp on how these guys draft. But I'll bet it will have us scratching our heads a little bit when it's all said and done. It has me for the last two years! I expect the same this year I guess.

I like a lot of it, but I think if the first round shakes out like you projected, we'd take Balmer in the 2nd round. He's projected as a mid-to-late first rounder that people have speculated we'd take at 10 overall, so if he's there a round later I think we'd draft him (or Trevor Laws) because we still need good youth at DT and unless his name is Fred Davis, I don't really want a tight end on the first day when we could further upgrade our defense for both now and the future.

Tavares Gooden MLB
Tracy Porter CB
Erin Henderson OLB
DaJuan Morgan FS
Terrell Thomas CB
Shawn Crable DE/OLBlooks

I think we would take one of these on pick #2 instead of Keller

Josh Johnson pick isnt a Sean Payton typ QB??? Too JJ is a V.Young - M. Vick type QB...

I like the trade in the 1st round hate the trade in the second....

I definately agree that if we can't get Dorsey/Ellis we should trade down and get a corner. Before all the signings we have picked up this offseason, there is NO WAY I would have wanted to take a CB with our 1st pick. But at this point, we have really done a good job in upgrading our LBs, and now we have very good depth at DE, so if we can't get one of the two BEST DTs of the draft, I think we should go for the corner that we like the best. Especialy since now we can roll the dice and start Young, David or the draft pick and it could be all the same.

Of course, we know what we have (or maybe what we don't have) in David, but Young and a draft pick would be pretty much the same in terms of playing time. I don't think that you have to hit one out of the park with every draft pick. I really think that this year we should avaiod the BPA trap and get what WE need the most. IMO, at this point that is DT, followed by CB, and maybe LB. I list the positions in that order based on who may, or may not be available at our #10 spot. I'd much rather have Dorsey or Ellis than any CB available in this years draft, but I think our Dts are better than anyone that woould be left, so I say go for the best corner available. DRC? Jenkins? That I don't know.

I would just like to have a dang good Defence to go with that powerhouse offence and not have to have a shootout. We've got to improve the front seven to help this team. If we do that it will help take up the slack for the backfield IMO. QB's can't pick you apart if they're in a hurry or lying on thier back. Helps everyone!

If the draft falls that way..and I don't think it will...I say we take Clady. I really hate predicting trades in mock drafts. It's impossible enough to predict the picks themselves...predicting trades is even more difficult. And fans of all 32 teams say "if such and such isn't there, just trade back". If only it were so simple. You have to have a team wanting to trade up first. And you have to be willing to risk losing the player the team (not the fan) wants. I'll bet a kidney the Saints don't trade back twice in the first two rounds. I can't think of a time they've ever done so. We'd be idiots not to take Balmer in the 2nd if he were available..which he shouldn't be. We won't have three 3rds and we won't take a QB with the one we do have. No way Highsmith falls to the 5th...no way.

Good imagination, man. I would only question the QB in Round 3, and like many have said, Highsmith will improve his position after LSU's pro day.
