if this is the case i really like keith rivers. With vilma and fujita, i think rivers would be the perfect piece to this puzzle we could easily land cromartie but i think payton is trying to build up our front seven like indy makeing it easier to have success with cbs like david and gay

Prepare yourself for both Ellis and Dorsey NOT being on the board at 10.

I believe in building the front 7, but the back 4 is just as much need of an injection of youth. MM, Fred T, and Jason Craft are all on the wrong side of 30, and we need guys in the secondary that can cover and make plays on the ball rather than player that simply fill out the 11 man lineup.

DRC please
there are plenty of quality linebackers that can be had in the 2nd and 3rd

renaldo wynn, thomas, bellamy, and gleason are still on that roster too but i believe they are also ufa. for some reason, the official website leaves our ufa on the roster, don't know if that is normal or just easier than updating it, but if the season started today they are not on the saints roster.

N/S: just voted on a poll on the official site, does anyone believe that site gets over a million views?, much less over a million people vote on the poll question?

Which newcomer to the defense are you most excited to see in a Saints uniform?

I'd love for us to grab Keith Rivers and put him in the mix with Fujita and Vilma.
That has the makings of, dare I say it... The Dome Patrol 2.0.

thanx thats the point i was gettin at and i also agree with saint droopy but personally i feel this is the year and we can get youth and quality early second this year or late first next year at corner (dont forget asante was a 4th round pick)

Why does everyone say we could get a quality linebacker in round 2, but they won't admit that CB is a much deeper position in this year's draft so the probability of finding a starter is greater in the 2nd for a CB, not LB.

Its looking more and more like Rivers isnt a top 10-15 choice....but that could because he hasnt had his pro day, alot of sites have him going later in the first......

I truly believe we will trade up, unless Dorsey and Ellis go in the first six picks.

IMO
Gholston, Long, Long, Mcfadden, and Clady or Ryan will go in the top 6 which would leave one of the DTs (Dorsey or Ellis) falling to New England.

It's so hard to speculate at this point. You never know when a talent so great will fall at a position we don't need (i.e. Deuce). If Darren McFadden is there at 10, you have to consider it......if Jake Long falls to 10, you have to consider that. Someone we think is going in the top 9-10 picks WILL fall, it happens every year.
