Ok, how many of us have actually seen this guy play some games? I mean, yeah he had a good Senior Bowl but besides for that what have we seen from the guy? Me personally I did not hear about him until the Sr. Bowl. One game does not make a player. From what I understand the guy is rail thin which may make him succeptible to running plays. The Sr. Bowl doesn't neccesarily have the best guys lining up, just the Seniors. And they're coming from places we have never seen these guys play.

All these measurables, speed, vertical, cone drills, half of that stuff you don't even do directly during the game. TURN THE TAPE ON! And I'm not referring to a highlight tape so please do not post a youtube playback. This is the only way you need to evaluate a player. Watch him on plays where he didn't make the tackle, right?

I haven't seen most of these CBs and the Saints desperately need CB help. But from the ones I have seen I do believe that a good CB can be had with the 2nd round pick based on who is projected to be available though....

So I'm asking who of us has seen any significant amount of real games from DRC, and what does he look like over a number of games?

ok ill play

how many people have seen leodis mckelvin, mike jenkins play? how many have seen them play more than one or two games?

how about keith rivers? how about sedrick ellis? how about cason from arizona?

exactly

I'm a big DRC fan but you'll lose this argument.

Especially naming 2 USC guys

this is ridiculous. you can find a usc game almost every week of the college football season. he was trying to make a point that i personally agree with. cromartie's draft status hsa gone up because he had a good forty and has a successful family member in the NFL.

i think the point he is trying to make is that Sedrick Ellis, Keith Rivers, Cason, etc have played in big games and have had their names out there for at least two years or more. Most of us have only heard of DRC, Mckelvin, and Jenkins names this year and they play for smaller schools. DRC played Div 2, Mckelvin played at Troy where my sister goes to school and their competition isn't very tough, and Jenkins plays for USF who has only been in the upper half of NCAA football the last two years. Once again, USF doesn't really play against tough competition.

So i believe since the three CB's come from small schools that don't get much tv time, has anyone really seen these guys play instead of just hearing about their highlights.

you can't be serious right???? half the guys you mention were on TV all season long.

look, if you have seen the guy play then I can respect that from you. but I think a lot of us haven't seen this particular guy play but one game and he is being touted "the man".

Maybe your right and we're just reading it wrong.

Excuse me but you are interrupting the hype zone.

That's the deal with DRC.....you read about what his coaches & trainers say, what former star NFL players say about him, you watch his highlights and then make your own decision on his ability as a Pro.

He didn't play at a major University and the crowds were really small...that's a fact. He dominated at the Combine & Senior Bowl...that's a fact.

Do y'all not watch NFL Network? They showed alot of DRC plays from different games in his collegiate career.

And for what its worth, I value some of the commentators on the NFL Network..

i could'nt have said it any better. COMBINES DONT MEAN ANYTHING! PUT THE PADS ON AND HIT SOMEBODY. JASON DAVID PROBABLY WOULD DO GOOD AT A COMBINE. The kid that i KNOW FOR A FACT THAT WILL BE A IMPACT PLAYER IS AQUIB TALIB! ITS FUNNY HOW U GUYS IS OVER LOOKING HIM! He was the heart and soul of that Kansas Defense that everyone slept on!! ALL AMERICAN AND ALL BIG 12 AND ORANGE BOWL MVP

Come on now! These the same guys that said Brady Quin was the best QB in the draft

All I know is that every year their is at least one group representing a "players camp" that is devestated after the draft. I remember when we traded up and took Jamaal Brown the Derrick Johnson camp totally fell apart and then there was the 2004 draft when everyone wanted Vilma and Williams and after they came off the board I thought for sure my personal favorite Wilfork would be our pick but instead we picked Will Smith.

Who ever we pick I will buy into the hype but as of now I feel DRC is way overhyped but so be it.

One thing is for sure there is going to be some upset people on this board day after the draft there always is lets just hope we can all laugh.
