How to build your own Arcade System

Introduction
A couple months ago I started out on a mission to build a home arcade system. I wanted to play all the classic video games as well as those console favorites. I played around with emulators before on my PC so I knew a little bit how it all worked. After months of researching and visiting a lot of different websites, I came up with an economical plan that didn't require too much time and the end result was a highly polished professional arcade system.

I want one for my bar badly. That and a juke box.

You blow for having a bar at 24

Cool article, thanks for the link.

And your avatar scares me. :1zhelp:

I have a friend who built one himself and it is freaking sweet although it does not look as nice as this one but I am sure his was cheaper.

I also know that he just used his old computer that he built to save on cost as well.

I might do this one day when I get my man room!

This would be a great project for a game room. I'm not sure I have the technical knowhow to pull it off, though. I only barely was able to get the emulator to work on my computer. But connecting up the arcade buttons and having the emulator bypass windows is harder than he's making it out to be.

I remember reading about that guys costume. You can actually play the game he's wearing! However I don't think I would want to play with another guys "joystick", not that theres anything wrong with that.

Me either, I'm not touching that joystick! :covri:
