is to retain all your key players and every year upgrade the weaknesses- both thru the Draft and thru FA. Our players must really like and respect Coach Peyton because we have able to resign nearly all of our players for 2 years now. Building a SB team takes time but keeping your foundation and building from there is the key.

I agree to a point but you first have to have "key players" that are worth keeping. I think we are at that point though. A few years ago, I couldn't say that.

Look at the Chargers and Colts roster. None of their best players were FA pickups or accquired from trade.

Good point but the trick is identifying which players to keep from year to year. These teams (as well as others that build through the draft) tend to well but the trick is to figure out which guys to keep vs which to let walk and then having good evualation when it comes to the draft. I personally prefer the Patriots method of building through the draft but using free agency to not only fill out the depth in needed areas but also in adding one or 2 impact players in free agency that fit the scheme each year (Corey Dillon, Rodney Harrison, Moss, Welker, Adelius Thomas).
