How is the College World Series Made up?

You make it sound like Tulane or ULL werent good teams. You really should at least have a small knowledge about the game if your going to talk about it like an expert. All the selections are based on auto bids and RPI.

Cal state fullerton, Witchita ST, Pepperdine, Stanford....all have been to the CWS pretty regularly with some national championships too. Oh don't forget about Rice either.

Here is the format...
64 teams; 16 regional sites with regional hosts who are typically a 1 seed but can be a 2 seed in a 4 team double elimination tourny. I cant think of a single 3rd seed host, ever. The TOP 8 in the country get to host the "Super-regional" round ( asuming they win their regional) which pairs the regional winners in a best 2 of 3 series. At the CWS..double elimination 2 bracket tourny format till the 2 winners meet in a best 2 of 3.

You must have completely read my post wrong Rob. I wasn't calling Tulane or ULL bad teams.. I was saying that the field is open so that anyone has a chance of getting there.. even small school teams like Tulane and ULL.

And where did I talk like an expert? :idunno: geez

Edit: Rob, I'm not trying to be condescending with my post and the question I asked at the end.. I was more curious as to what I had said that sounded like I was talking down on Tulane and ULL and/or sounding or claiming to be an expert..
