Saints Lose Coaches To Other Teams In 07?

I don't think so, personally. We've got a new coach with a new staff. Usually when coordinators and under-coaches get picked for head coaching jobs, they have had long, impressive tenures. (i.e. Gary Kubiak, Sean Payton).

I guess its possible that some of the lower coaches might leave to take higher up jobs. But I'd like to think that since this thing we have going is only one year old, they're more likely to stick with Payton for the time being.

Well, there were two exceptions this past offseason. Marinelli who was the d-lne position coach for Tampa and Mangini who was a first year defensive coordinator for the Patriots.

But those were somewhat exceptional. Mangini was hired because of his Belicheck "pedigree" and the hope that every coach guys like Belicheck and Parcells touch turn to gold. Same thing happened when Bill Walsh was around.

And Marinelli was just a dumb hire by a dumb GM, Matt Millen.

But both were unusual exceptions
