Injuries hit Saints hard as they prepare for Buccaneers

Associated PressMETAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints are dealing with more injuries than they have all season as they prepare to play the Buccaneers, including an ankle sprain that kept Reggie Bush out of practice Wednesday.

Still, the rookie running back insisted his left ankle is fine, and said he plans to practice Thursday and play Sunday.

"I could have gone today, but the trainers wanted me to give it a day's rest," Bush said. "There's no rush."

Bush was among three key offensive players -- including left tackle Jammal Brown (sprained ankle) and wide receiver Joe Horn(strained groin) -- held out or limited in practice Wednesday. But Coach Sean Payton said Horn is fine, too, and Brown -- a former
Oklahoma standout -- is the only one among them whose availability is truly in question.
