It does not matter the police ask you to get out of the car you get out of the car bottom line. He should have just been cool about it and cooperated and this may not have even been an issue.
In some parts of our beloved country getting out of the car is reason for an arrant officer to shoot you and say you were reaching for something. mistrust of our law inforcement officials is a reality because there is documented proof of theese things occuring. when you are not drunk and you know you only changed lanes and maybe you did run a red light or thought you intered the intersection on yellow the order to leave your car is attached to a more seroius series of events that Vilma was cautiously aware of and rightfully so. If I were Mr. vilma I would have identified myself and asked for the officer to call a sargent or superior to the scene for his safety. While I dont totally disagree with the deputy who posted earlier there are certain concerns for minorities and celebraties and even females that are stopped for what they may consider no reason or reasons not clear to them. Oh i 2 am a former deputy Sheriff in Louisiana retired with the rank of Sergeant.
