Jonathan Vilma Arrested - Confirmed

Here is a scenario. Vilma is driving through South Beach. If you've ever driven there, you'll know that it's impossible to drive there and NOT almost hit anyone. He probably got frustrated with the traffic and tried to get out of it. Cops pull him over.

I have a feeling the whole thing is exaggerated, but let's wait to see what comes out. At any rate, as you see above, there was no alcohol involved, no guns, no women with bruises. At this point, it's a traffic violation.

and resisting arrest...

There are two different main groups of thought. I do not think this is a big deal as far as Vilma resigning with the Saints, as far as him being suspended by the team or league. As a Saints fan this is nor looking to be a big deal.

Most people believe this was a bad day for Vilma that could have been avoided. He did not get arrested for murder, domestic violence, shop lifting, jaywalking...he apparently got arrested for being non compliant. IMO unless the police were physically out of line, what does being non-compliant get you? Arrested. I think in the vast majority of cases non-compliant resisting arrest can be avoided. When has anyone ever heard of noncompliance with a police officer working out for the individual? You have to make better decisions than that.

bottom line, as a Saints fan, not a big deal, but it could have probably been avoided with a cooler head prevailing.
