Wow. Chill out people. Vilma broke the law and got hot headed when he got caught. Lost his temper and went to jail for probably 10 minutes.

He did not kill a lady while drunk..leonard little.
He did not slam a strippers head on a stage and have some kind of connection with a shooting. pac
He did not have connections with killing 2 guys. ray lewis
He did not spit on a woman and push her to the ground. Larry. bad but not too bad.

Point is, the man got in trouble and has paid his price.

Careful there, you can easily say in his defense that he didn't fight dogs like Michael Vick.

None of the above will hold up as excuses if he goes to court. If he messed up, the best thing he can do is say, "I'm sorry your honor, it won't happen again" and unless there are extenuating circumstances, he'll likely be fine. Assuming, of course, that he has no priors.

If he was indeed innocent, hopefully this too will come out in the wash.

I remember some years ago it was mentioned on ESPN that Deuce McAllister had been, "involved' in a fight at 2am somewhere in the quarter. Turned out later Deuce was attempting to break up a fight and was never in any way implicated in the incident itself.

Point being, we do not have enough info to go on at this point nor are we likely to any time soon. I'll refrain from any judgement whatsover as I wasn't there
