Pressure from the line is still the key. Its been said over and over if you get no pressure it doesn't matter who you have back there.


Pretty much. Quickest way to improve the D is to improve the pass rush. Not saying that improving from the secondary on forward wouldn't work, but that's not typically done in the NFL. Moreover I don't know many great defenses that built from the secondary.
