Battlestar Galactica Discussions (MERGED)

Shall we now delve into the morals and ethics of biological weapons?

Wait, that's next week's episode. :)

This week, I blinked twice when they showed the "hybred" Cylon that runs the base ship.

Where have I seen this before? Hmmm...ah! Babylon 5 Shadow ship, of course. The human/central processor sent out psychic screams of pain and horror.

The Cylon version on Galactica talks to itself in mystic gibberish which may or may not mean anything. Might be messages from the Cylon god.

There are 12 models of human form Cylons. When Baltar asks about the five that haven't been revealed, Number 6 gets all defensive and says the Cylons never speak of them. A breakaway group? Failed experiments? Guess we'll find out about that further on down the line.

Adama handled Starbuck and Tigh's meltdown like we knew Adama would. It would have been much cooler if Tigh had just picked up the pistol and blown his own brains out. But, apparently, we get to see him continue his descent into total dementia.

Starbuck cuts her hair and tries to return to being Starbuck. Good luck.

Apollo is out of his fat suit. Boy, that didn't take long, did it? Wonder if the budget for all the makeup played a factor.

So, let me get this straight, Sharon's callsign, "Boomer," now refers to the Sharon who shot Adama and was killed by Callie.

The turncoat Cylon Sharon, the one that had the baby, is now callsign "Athena." Did I get that right?

The whole "use this weapon to wipe out a race" thing was also done in the STTNG episode I, Borg. Picard had to make a choice whether to use Hugh to destroy the collective or let him go. Of course, Picard didn't committ genocide and they released Hugh the Borg much to the Ire of Starfleet....who wanted to wipe them out. I think we'll see a similar result from this current story arc. Someone will step up and say "no, wiping out the cylons makes us worse than them."

Wasn't Ronald Moore a writer for that show too?
