N/S Cutler trade to Bears (mega merge)

QB's that can throw for 4500 yards and 25 TD's are elite.

e⋅lite   /ɪˈlit, eɪˈlit/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [i-leet, ey-leet] Show IPA
–noun. (often used with a plural verb) the choice or best of anything considered collectively, as of a group or class of persons.

Show me these other QB's who put up those kinds of numbers last year and I'll show you a small "elite" group.

25 TD's and 18 picks is not elite. 17-20 as a starter is not elite. No playoff wins (granted he's early in his career) is not elite. If you want to turn the discussion to the ability to be an elite QB, then you may have something, but to say at this point in his career that Jay Cutler is one of the top 3 or 4 QB's in the league is foolish. Not to mention the intangibles that an elite, supposed leader of a football team should possess (toughness, leadership, ability to handle pressure situations) that are legitimately being questioned right now, and you can save the elite moniker for another year or two.
