N/S Cutler trade to Bears (mega merge)
Jay Cutler finished the year with an 86.0 QB rating. Which is pretty average especially when you consider that it was less than 2 points ahead of Jason Campbell who is no world beater himself. I don't consider Cutler elite for several reasons...
Peyton Hillis, a rookie, seventh round pick, converted FB led the team in rushing last year. He was also the fifth starting rb for the team last year. They had NO stability in the running game.
They had an absolutely dreadful defense that could not stop anyone and ultimately cost them a playoff spot. Cutler was forced to throw the football a ton.
In Cutler's last 6 games he had a QB rating of 78.1 and had thrown 7 INT's to only 5 TD's. He basically has yet to prove he can be consistently good for an entire season.
But, I am sure someone will say "QB rating is overrated". :jpshakehead:
