But we are not the Giants. SP loves to pass the ball. That would be a lot of money in 3 backs with one or two of them just sitting on the bench. I just wish they would make the switch and make Reggie a WR.
Where do I start....I said the Giants proved that 3 backs can work. I never said we were the Giants and I don't know what that means. We don't have a lot of money in 3 backs. We have a lot of money in 1 back, which would be 2 if we got Beanie. PT isn't getting paid anything.
Payton has proven that he will run the ball when running is effective. That may be one of his flaws in that he's impatient with the run game and wants results immediately. I don't think that's the worst thing in the world considering the state of our defense of the past 2 years. We couldn't afford to grind it out waiting for the run to start being effective because our D couldn't hold anyone.
It's pretty silly to think that Payton would get Wells and barely play him. Just use some deductive reasoning and realize that Payton wasn't happy with our results when we ran between the tackles early in the season. That's why he ended up passing more, not because he hates to run the ball.
And Reggie isn't going to be switched to WR. I can't think of any instance in the NFL recently where that happened.
