Triplett says Saints Interest in Chris "Beanie" Wells is "Bona Fide"
I been openly against drafting a running back at 14, but I am willing to accept it if its is a last resort. In other words, Curry, Raji, Brown, Maybin, and Jenkins are off the board and no trade offers are there, then draft wells, who I think is the best RB in the draft.
To those Wells advocates, what would you think if we traded back into the 20s, if plausible, and drafted Moreno? He would be cheaper b/c he is late first rounder, he is multi-dimensional and could replace both Pierre and Bush if they were to go down, and because he is a similar back he can spell them without revamping the offensive game plans. Also, he is really competitive, he rarely fumbles, he is durable, a very good pass blocker, and seems to be better fit for our offense. (I am not advocating this, I'm just curious.)
