It's really pointless for me to argue against the PT naysayers, you've already made up your mind and he can do nothing more to sell you. I don't doubt Wells can be a solid NFL running back, but when SP has made a commitment to run the ball with PT, we have all we need at that position, and the 14th pick can be better addressed.

You mean all we have to do is give PT 15+ carries and he lights it up??? Man why hasn't anyone else figured that out???

That's faulty logic. PT gets the carries when he's proving that he can run against the D. The carries don't come before the production. If PT isn't running the ball well enough early on, he doesn't get the carries. I imagine SP wants a back that is more consistent early on, every game, not just against weak defenses.
