Triplett says Saints Interest in Chris "Beanie" Wells is "Bona Fide"

I have no idea why SP hasn't figured that out! Don't ask me why SP threw the ball 47 times versus only 17 runs in a monsoon in Tampa Bay, to hand the Bucs their last win of the year in Week 13. That's another discussion, but when people called for SP's head after that loss, and he finally committed and made PT a part of the gameplan the next week against an Atl playoff team, he went 16 for 102, 2 scores, and not to mention a huge kickoff return to set up the win.

The numbers don't lie. 4.8ypc is manly. SP admitted last year he was slow in giving PT his share, and when he did he produced. Like I said, I learned months ago there's nothing I or PT can do to change some of your minds, and its amazing some of you can't see this guy for the runner he is, but to use another 1st round pick, (after we've used - some may argue wasted - our 2nd on one) on another offensive player is a joke.

Right, Pierre did do well. And then he started carrying the ball more and, once again, got hurt. This is the third time he has gotten hurt after seeing an increase in carries. It happened as a rookie against Carolina and he missed the next week. He then bruised ribs against Chicago. And then last season, he missed the final game. It is not that Pierre isn't a capable runner. But he has yet to prove that he can shoulder the load. Thus, we have this need at the RB position.
