Triplett says Saints Interest in Chris "Beanie" Wells is "Bona Fide"

If they are in this draft, I think the rankings would go Wells, Stewart, and then Mendenhall.

Also, Wells' pro day time was not a 4.32. It was closer to a 4.38, 4.39. He and Stewart are probably similar in speed. I think people should dismiss his 40 time at the combine. He did about 8 or 9 broad jumps before he ran his forties. Scott Wright has said that a lot of GMs and scouts believe this is the reason why he timed somewhat poorly especially since most were expecting him to run in the 4.4 range.

No way he runs a 4.3X Reggie ran a 4.33 on a fast USC track. Wells would get torched by Reggie. He runs a 4.5. Also he cannot make cuts when going fast. He throttles down to change direction. He is not a slasher and he will struggle to hit the hole in the NFL.
