Adding Vick will not magically give us extra snaps on offense. There are a fixed number of passing and running plays that can be attempted. Vick's touches have to come from somewhere. If he is throwing the ball and getting carries/receptions, its less touches for the other players. less touches for Reggie and PT, less throws for Brees. Sorry but we have the most successful offense in the NFL, its a completely asinine idea to make such radical changes. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Does Vick throw better than Brees? No.
Does he run better than Reggie or PT? No.
Does he catch better than Colston or Moore? No.


Vick is a downgrade at every offensive position for the Saints. His versatility is irrelevant because he doesnt play any position better than the guys we already have. I dont want to take away Reggie and PT carries in favor of Vick. I dont want to take away Moore's catches or Brees' passes in favor of Vick. Neither does the head coach. If you want to fantasize about something that will never happen, thats cool. But anybody who thinks we are the most likely team to sign Vick doesnt know jack **** about the Saints. It was as recently as last week that Payton expressed an extreme lack of enthusiasm for implementing the wildcat, and his main reasoning was that the wildcat would take away touches for Brees.
