Peter King's Top 5 Michael Vick destinations (guess who is #1)

Hmmm... after looking at the article for what he says about everyone else, King is just full of it and has no real clue where Vick might go.

3. New England Patriots
I recall owner Bob Kraft and his wife, Myra, being up in arms about the team drafting Nebraska defensive lineman Christian Peter with his eight arrests and four convictions in Lincoln for aberrant behavior. The Patriots released him a couple of days after the draft. So that makes the Vick signing problematic and unlikely. But who knows? Maybe Bill Belichick can convince them Vick would be the kind of difference-making weapon Randy Moss was when the team got him from Oakland, even though Moss was thought to be an impossible guy to work with. There's the Corey Dillon case, too, another example of Belichick taking a problem child and making it work for the benefit of the team.

Notice that he has a pretty strong argument about why Vick wouldn't go to the Pats. Followed by a "who knows", with his thought that they should take him anyway.

I think the reason everyone keeps saying Vick with New Orleans, or even New England is the belief that the wildcat is just so golden. They are salivating to see the wildcat thrown into one of the top offenses.

The wildcat is a fad. If your offense is good enough, which ours is, you don't need it -- you stay with your best offensive weapon running the offense. Earlier, I saw it suggested that we run the wildcat because of the short yardage woes from a year ago... but our problems came from the defense knowing we were going to try to run it and us running it. Not sure how showing even more that we're going to run it is going to be any better. And if we're going to pass to pick up the first... we're better off with Brees.
