Teacher Opportunities?

I am an elementary school teacher in Mississippi. Just found out Friday that my salary will be probably cut by $6000 I have been toying with the idea for some time of moving to the NOLA area. We go quite often, as it's not but about 2 hours away. I have looked online at many of the school sites. Can anyone shed some light on what parishes, or certain schools are ones I should check into, and maybe some I should not? Thanks for any input.
