B & G scrimmage

From all accounts, the offense looked great even w/ out Drew. Colston is back and Hamilton may be the power back we need. The defense secondary made plays and seems to be playing w/ confidence. Reis had a good day.

Now, have we spent to much time and emphasis on the secondary? It seems like the O ran the ball at will. You can have the best secondary in the world, if you can't stop the run, you won't stop the pass.

Any concerns?

Hopefully this is just the sign of a defense getting used to a new scheme and nothing more..Last year, the D did well against the run and struggled against the pass. I don't remember how the defense did in the '06 preseason, but that year is a good example of how a new scheme can turn things around for a defense. I'm still seeing the glass as half full, because they probably need time to "gel".
