AMPA, Fla. — Drew Brees had to put on a brave face when the New Orleans Saints went to work Wednesday with two of his top offensive players — left tackle Jammal Brown and wide receiver Joe Horn — listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brown, the team’s first-round draft pick in 2005, protects Brees’ blind side on passing plays and Horn, a four-time Pro Bowl pick, was coming off back-to-back 100-yard receiving games.

Still, Brees said the Saints would make do with what they had.

What he had was left tackle Zach Strief and wide receivers Marques Colston and Devery Henderson, who were among the many players that came up big in the Saints’ 31-14 bashing of the Bucs in Raymond James Stadium.
