Brees gives Saints leadership, smarts

They've won games with plenty of offense and made enough defensive plays to be sporting a 6-2 record midway through the regular season.

Above all else, though, it's leadership that has changed the New Orleans Saints.

It's Sean Payton pushing the right buttons in practice and not getting flustered when Tampa Bay came storming back in the second quarter.

It's Scott Fujita and the Saints defense playing smart and getting off the field in critical third-down situations.

And, perhaps most of all, it's Drew Brees taking control - in the huddle, in the pocket and when the game is on the line.
