Temporary freezing of webpages

Hey guys, I hope someone can help me with this issue I am having. Over the past month or so, explorer will temporarily freeze for a few seconds while loading webpages. It is very frustrating and I have no idea what is causing it. I run ad-aware often but lately it hasn't been finding any problems. Any suggestions?
