The Bills, who haven't had a winning record since 2004, appear to be making progress under Dick Jauron, who is in his third season as coach. They began the season with two solid performances.

Opening at New England, Buffalo appeared to have control until the Patriots struck for two late touchdowns to win 25-24. At home Sunday, the Bills relied on a balanced attack and a blitzing defense to defeat Tampa Bay 33-20.

The Saints won't have to worry about running back Marshawn Lynch, who rushed for more than 1,000 yards the past two seasons. He is suspended for misbehaving off the field during the offseason and won't be eligible to play until Week 4. Running back Fred Jackson has helped fill the void, both as a rusher and receiver.

He hasn't had a major blow-up this season, but it's early.
