forums question: turn of thread preview?

If you're using Firefox you can turn them off by typing "about:config" in the URL bar, type "tips" in the filter bar, then double click browser.chrome.toolbar_tips to change the value to false. This will turn off tooltips from title/alt tags and menu bar tooltips.
