WDSU reporter blocked access on Grand Isle

Then, assuming they have the authority to do so, WL&F should be out there setting the rules, not BP. It's the "this is BP's rules" part that has a lot of people steamed. They do not have the official authority to limit access to public areas, and that is what seems to be happening.

WL&F IS setting the rules. Some of these camera crews want to trample in the middle of nesting grounds of pelicans which is off limits to everyone but their biologists. They have no clue and just want their "ratings shots" of oiled animals.

The media knows they can ask what they want at a certain time but go out and knock on the door knowing they can't have access then plead "we're being censored!" It's disgusting.

Not only that, they berade the WL&F personnel when they can't get their way. Oh but that's off camera so it's okay. If you guys knew how the media acted off camera toward our guys it would blow your mind. Local and national media have no clue.
