And yes. Drying your blade extends the life of it. That being said, I probably only change blades every two weeks or so... and then the last one I have lasts for a solid two to three months because I can never remember to buy new ones.
Happens to me often as well. That's when I try and use one of the razors my wife uses (a new one) and then I'm like, how the hell does she shave with this piece of crap. I couldn't tell you what kind of razor she uses either.
